Buenos Aires, January 26. — A half-brother of one of the accused in the murder of Jeremías Monzón, the 15-year-old teenager who was stabbed 23 times in Santa Fe, turned himself in on Monday at an office of the Ministry of Public Prosecution (MPA). He is accused of threatening on social media a friend who was seeking justice for the victim. The individual is Maximiliano U., who had been sought since the weekend after being denounced for alleged intimidation on Instagram against a young man who demanded clarification of the crime. According to local media, the messages the suspect allegedly wrote include: 'Stop posting stupid things because I'm already looking for you,' 'Do you want me to break your head?' and 'I'll fucking shoot you.' For this reason, the 21-year-old victim filed a complaint at the 14th Police Station in San José del Rincón. Police personnel went to a home in Colastiné to carry out the arrest, but the suspect was not there. However, accompanied by his defender, he presented himself at a judicial facility to make himself available to the Justice system in the case filed as 'simple threat.' In turn, it is expected that in the coming hours, the prosecutor on duty, Rosana Peresín, will file charges against him. Jeremías had last been seen on December 18 while walking with Milagros A., his 16-year-old girlfriend, who is currently staying in a minor's institute in Rosario. According to the file, two other 14-year-old adolescents also participated in the attack, who, despite being identified, were returned to their families because they are considered not punishable under current regulations.
